One of our favorite moments from Hair Love Retreat 2019 was when all the Hair Love Tribe babes gathered in the main tent as the sun went down to learn and practice their hair painting craft.
The evening was kicked off by a live panel featuring Elizabeth Faye, Jamie Sea, Lo Wheeler, and Cassandra Platinum, who talked about the business of hair and answered questions.
For tribe babe Lindsay Lane, the panel was one of her favorite parts of the Paint Party.
She said, “I think the panel at the beginning of the party [was my favorite]. All of you were so honest and authentic! But fun and relatable. Oh and the HOUSE ROSE was flowing. Love you ladies 💗”.
After basking in all the great knowledge and advice from Elizabeth, Jamie, Lo, and Cassandra, they took to the stage to give everyone a live hairpainting demo. Using Redken products, each educator used different techniques to achieve gorgeous results.

Celene Dupuis also loved being able to receive high-quality hair education in a beautiful setting under the stars near Zion National Park.

After the live painting demo, every babe at the retreat grabbed a paintbrush, some Redken lightener, and a can of wine, and took to their painting stations. Our live DJ turned the music up, and we danced, drank and painted hair late into the night.

The educators walked around the canvas tent and stage, giving everyone directions and helpful pointers. Everyone was encouraged to dance while they were painting. It was a magical, fun time!
“Being able to snag Jamie, Lo, or Elizabeth at the end of the demo and have them watch me first hand to tweak my body movements was priceless. I am normally a visual learner but having that one on one time really helped stick it to my brain. Oh and wine. Wine is great. I liked that part too. 😆” –Jordan Jones
