In this week’s episode, Elizabeth and Missy Megginson (@soyoureahairstylist) sit down and talk about how to have your cake and eat it too! This means that as a woman, as a mom, you CAN reach your goals and still be an awesome mom!!
The secret is this.. you can’t do it ALL, but you can do everything you want. You just need to learn how to delegate and then go hard for your dreams!
It’s important to remember that you are a MIRROR to people. A lot of people will look at you, and justify their reasons for not achieving their goals, and throw them onto you! Instead of being inspired to reach your goals!
If you ever feel like things are following into your lap, it means you are aligned with your vision!

The secret is broken down into 2 parts. Delegation and sacrifice
You can have your dream life, dream car, vacations, etc. Whatever it may be, it can all be yours! BUT! In order to have these things, it take SACRIFICE!
Sometimes you need to opt out of things! You have to figure out what is most important! (If you want to listen to our “opting out” episode, click here!)
Missy has learned that opting out of house cleaning and grocery shopping has been one of the best decisions for her! Her time is expensive, and it’s not worth the time it takes to clean and shop. Another thing that her and Elizabeth have both opted out of is being the PTA moms! They don’t want to do those school activities, AND THAT’S OK!!!
You also need to delegate. If someone can do something 50% as good as you, DELEGATE! TIME IS MONEY!
It’s also important to do seasonal checkins! Just like you would do in your business.

When you’re just starting, sometimes you can’t afford to hire! Elizabeth had a lot of help from her family, and Missy and Elizabeth both learned to barter and trade. Elizabeth would trade hair for house cleaning and other things.
Missy learned early on that it is ok to ask for help!
Elizabeth also cut out things when money was tight. If you need to cut out Starbucks, and nails and other things like that so you can afford to hire someone and then you will have mental clarity! The sooner you can get your mind right, the quicker it will grow!
The bottom line!! You can’t grow and scale if you are not able to lead a team!

Especially if you are a creative entrepreneur.. take the advice of your team! Let them help you build your brand and be a leader!
