Welcome to Part 3 of my Guide to Self-Awakening with Mindfulness and Meditation!
At this point, we’ve talked about how to use Mindfulness in your daily life, what mindfulness meditation is as well as why you should integrate this practice into your daily life. (you can read the full blog HERE.), as well as six different forms of meditations and mantras to use in your practice!
In this third and final part, I am going to talk to you about Earthing (also called “grounding”) – what it is and how you can use this as a part of your practice, or even separate from your practice!
My hope is that this 3 part guide will help you find internal peace and really LOVE and learn who YOU are, as these practices have done for me.
Let’s jump right in!
What IS Earthing?
Well if you are familiar with the term “grounding” or earthing” it simply means:
“Earthing (also known as grounding) refers to contact with the Earth’s surface electrons by walking barefoot outside or sitting, working, or sleeping indoors connected to conductive systems, some of them patented, that transfer the energy from the ground into the body.”
Earthing is an ancient practice, that allows your body to replenish its natural energy in sync with the earth. You do this by literally putting your body in direct contact with the earth.
Maybe this means sitting in your backyard to practice. You could sit in a lawn chair, with your bare feet embedded in the grass. Or try sitting cross legged right on the grass!
You can stand there to meditation with your feet to the earth.
If you’re like me- I don’t have a backyard or a front yard… sad huh! I practice my mindfulness meditations on the floor in my room- I never had the opportunity to practice earthing at the same time.
That was, until I discovered the Earthing Mat. An Earthing Mat is a mat that plugs into your electrical outlet, and pulls the earth’s energy into the mat, so that you can conveniently practice earthing in your house!
It’s pretty awesome, you can find it on Amazon. Now every time I go to Mindfully Meditate, I pull my mat out, plug it in, and then practice. While this is a great way to include Earthing in your practice, I do think that if you are lucky enough to have a yard, a patch of grass, or access to a beach, you take the time to practice your Earthing there too!
You can really feel your body being replenished while you practice earthing. You can feel the energy throughout your body. Combine this with your meditation practice and it is MAGICAL!
What have we learned?
Now that you have learned what Mindfulness, Meditation, and Earthing is, and how to use them, perhaps now you can integrate this into your daily routine, in whichever way feels the most comfortable to you!
I hope that this guide will help you on your path to internal peace and self-awakening. I want everyone to TRULY feel love for themselves and to be grateful for every single thing, in every living moment! Life is beautiful and so are you.
Until next time my friends. We HAIRLOVE you!
