This week’s BONUS episode is all about how to work efficiently and effectively from home! COVID-19 has forced us to start get out of the salon and it can be very hard to make that transition.
So often we complain about not having enough time to focus on bettering your business and life because of all of our daily responsibilities, but because of this virus, we have now been given the gift of time!
3:30 TIPS FOR WORKING FROM HOME
TIP #1: Do not triple book yourself!
When you’re working from home, you are often mutli-tasking, and you’ll find that you are not giving 100% to any of the tasks you are working on. To help with this, make sure you are scheduling your time.
TIP #2: Put yourself in the right environment to work
Set up your space so that it feels good and comfortable. Have your favorite drink, blanket, or anything that makes you feel good.
TIP #3: Plan the way you’re going to execute
Right now is a really good time to focus on those things that might not be your most favorite, and take a little more time and attention, but just remember that your future self is going to thank you for taking this extra to work on those things that are really going to be beneficial to your business.
Make a list! That way you know everything you need to get done, and you can feel super accomplished when you get things done!

QUESTION #1: What are the things you are doing ALL the time?
Example: Texting, emailing, manually doing inventory, etc. Things like this can be SYSTEMIZED!
QUESTION #2: What are things that can be delegated?
Look at things that you can get help with both in your business and home!
11:50 HOW TO CREATE THE PERFECT TO-DO LIST
First, look at the “Macro” and “Micro”
MACRO: This is the big task at hand!
MICRO: Look at the small things that go into this big task.
For example, if you want to look at your pricing (macro), you’ll first look at your time, clients, etc. (micro)
After you have your tasks, do NOT move onto the next task until you complete the first task.
At the end of the day, make your task list for the next day. If you don’t finish anything, add it to the next day. That way, when you wake up you know exactly where to start you left off and where you can start your work day.
15:50 MAJOR TIP- CHECK IN WITH YOURSELF
If you’re not feeling good, you are not working in your zone of genius and it’s not a good time to work. It’s important to know where you’re at and if you are not feeling good, maybe switch to a mindless task, so that you can still be productive, but maybe your brain is not in the right spot.
